Gail and her husband Daniel currently tend a browse-based, mixed herd of Nubian, La Mancha, and Alpine goats. The goats browse acres of varied landscape, which contributes to the character of each batch of cheese. Caromont is committed to utilizing natural farming practices and humane animal husbandry. The goats are housed in a setting, which is designed to reduce stress, create a natural environment, and support their optimal health and happiness. These content goats provide rich, delicious milk, which yields a creative offering of cheeses found at local restaurants and purveyors of fine foods.
